This material called Desserto is a real revolution in the fashion industry as until recently, the only alternatives to animal leather were PU leather made from thermoplastic polymer, which is unfortunately not durable nor ecological.

'Cactus leather' is produced in Mexico from the cultivation of Opuntia ficus-indica, more commonly known as prickly pear cactus.
